In the final blog of the series “Odd Jobs” I will be exploring the job of a nonprofit Convention Planner.
In the nonprofit sector there are a lot of event planners, at one time I actually thought about this position, because of the prevalence of need in the sector. All nonprofit organizations have fundraising events that need planning. After a recent flight to Baltimore, where I sat next to a nonprofit Convention Planner I realized that beyond event planning this nonprofit job takes a lot of marketing, fundraising, and organization skills.
