For nonprofit organizations: How to use Nonprofit Career Month

A quick overview of this website from a nonprofit professional's perspective.

We will be coordinating several national simulcasts during October and are looking for local hosts at organizations across the country. • Check out the best practice database and search using the “nonprofit organization” tag. You’ll read about how nonprofit organizations can help raise awareness of nonprofit careers.
• Find local experts in the speakers database who are interested in speaking about topics such as volunteer management, nonprofit advocacy, or grantwriting.
• Peruse the blog for posts from guest bloggers, tips from experts, and new events and resources.
• Listen to our podcast interviews with people doing exciting work in the nonprofit sector.
• Read stories about nonprofit experiences written by people working in the sector.

• Check out our speakers database for your next gathering to find nonprofit professionals representing a range of nonprofit career fields. Some of those listed will have also identified as willing to do informational interviews and job shadows.
• Offer to share your unique skills and experiences and to promote the work of your organization with others by listing yourself in the speakers database.

• Share your best practice for nonprofit organizations on the best practice database.
• Share a story about an experience you've had with nonprofit work.
• Tell your friends in the nonprofit sector or organizations doing good work about the month so they can share their expertise.
• Pass on this information to anyone else who would benefit from knowing about Nonprofit Career Month and the available resources.
